Coffee from other countries

A few months ago a friend vacationed in Costa Rica and brought me back some whole bean coffee from a local village. I don't remember the brand and such but wow every time the griner finished the aroma filled my office and the taste was the bomb. Anyone else try coffee from far away (from you) recently?

RE:Coffee from other countries

About 8 years ago I went on my first trip to Port-au-Prince, Haiti and fell in love with their coffee. It is very rich, mellow and with a distinct flavor of chocolate. I get it from Singing Rooster here in the states. They import it from Haiti and you can either get it as whole bean or already ground. I think if you call them you could probably get it unroasted so you could roast it yourself.
