Strawberry Wilderness Oregon Eclipse Viewing
This is a multi-day campout in the Strawberry Wilderness of the Malheur National Forest, 20 miles SE of John Day in the path of totality but away from the city crowds. We will be at the trailhead parking on Friday, August 18, packing in with llamas carrying the gear on Saturday, August 19 to Upper (little) Strawberry Lake to camp. Monday morning on the 21st we will hike to the top of Strawberry Mountain which has an aerial view of the surrounding terrain to experience the total solar eclipse.
We will pack out to the trailhead on Tuesday.
