I saw this! I hope when we return from this trip we're taking, there'll be some openings for a couple nights stay in late July or early Aug!
We and our group of friends are really excited about this new place opening with the same concepts, policies and vibe of the old TCI.

I think that we have all, by now.....checked out all the Tweets , concerning the New Terra Cotta.
But....it seems as if, there is very little pertinent information any where, that tells us much, if anything at all.
The phone number that was listed for the New Terra Cotta, was from Tacoma, and it is no longer in service.
To date, all that we know is, that the New Terra Cotta has a New Owner.
Mary Claire and Tom seem to be on board, as only Consultants....we were hoping that they were both, going to be more Hands On....along with Patty.
Tom and Mary Claire and Patty, were what made Terra Cotta.....Terra Cotta, for the most part.
We also know, that the New Terra Cotta will be a Smoke Free environment, which is a very welcome change, for all of us Health Freaks and Health Conscious couples!
Now, they just need to Stop the Drunks , from Peeing in the Shallow end of the Pool, all day long!
We have seen No Mention, of them continuing on...with their Continental Breakfast????
You would think, that announcing their Traditional Continental Breakfast, would take Centre Stage, over any Smoke Free environment???
Its already July 11th, yet No Mention to date of Rates, a Web Site, a Contact Number, or any information that is actually useful in order to Book, for a July 25th opening?
We think, that we are "ALL" still in Shell Shock , of the sudden and unannounced Death, of the Old Terra Cotta, closing on us, with absolutely No Warning at all.
That sudden Premature Death, makes the reincarnation of the New Terra Cotta, a little difficult to just welcome it back, without knowing, how closely it will resemble our Old Terra Cotta.
We LOVED the Old Terra Cotta, but were Forced, to find something else to replace her with.
They say, that you can never go back home again, but we would LOVE to come back to Terra Cotta again, if everything that we Loved about the Old Place, was reborn in the New Place.
Who really cares about the 4:00 PM Strawberries???
It will not be the same, without Tom and his Bow Tie!
We really miss the Continental Breakfast, with those ROCK HARD - Hard Boiled Eggs! LOL
It seems as if, everything is just being spread word to mouth, so far via Tweeter.
None of the questions are being answered via Tweeter?.....sooooo......we would like to see a phone number or an email address posted, so that we can all call or write to Terra Cotta and find out, what is actually going on.
We don't all live in Southern California, within an hours drive of Palm Springs.
Some of us , actually have to Book Flights and Book Cars.
We all need a Number or an Email Address, in order to help them fill some of their Rooms.
Does it not seem a little strange, to anyone?.....That here we are, July 12.....just 13 days away, from them Opening the New Terra Cotta, and we still have No Real information about the place?

got to remember that they are still in escrow, they may or may not close on that date, so i probably wouldn't be taking reservation until it really does close. i am surprised that they are not giving themselves more time between close of escrow and going clothing optional, since this place is still open and taking reservations. and since this place is being run as textile i would think that they would want enough time to inform these guest of the changes, anyway when it does open it will just be nice to have a second choice besides desert sun. as much as we like the desert sun, we want to compare the rates between the two.

To help you out there, Andy, just so that you are in the know....Just read a message from Tom, and it seems as if everything is a go.
As the OP stated, nothing can be done, till the Ink has dried.
That takes place on the 17th.
They are not even allowed to take pictures of the place, till the keys have changed hands.
For all the Cheap people out there Andy, Terra Cotta will have reduced rates, from opening day and the Summer rates will continue, till we get into the Fall and Winter months.
Yes....every thing will be the same. Continental Breakfast, Strawberries at 4:00, and Yes Andy, You and the other Drinkers will still be able to Pee in the Shallow end of the Pool, All Day Long.
So, that should make you really Happy! :)
We come to Palm Springs , just for the Sun and Tanning, while Quietly reading our Books.
Drinking our Faces off, and acting like it was our Very First Drink... "Ever"....well, we will leave that up to you guys.
Lets keep in touch Andy, and let each other know, the dates that we all will be Booked in.
That way, you can Drink and PEE in the pool. as much as you want.
And...we can Read and Tan, in some Peace and Quiet.

well folks as i look at my clock here in california it is 5:47 pm i am going to bet that the sale did not fund today and it did not close. so to be realistic it may take an extra week or so to close. i say that because i sold a property last year and guess what it didn't close on time. hopefully it will close soon so we can have another option in palm springs.
If the new Terra Cotta keeps the same policy as the ol' Terra Cotta Inn, it's a couples only resort. From your profile, it states your wife isn't into nudism. Is she okay with visiting with you anyway? She will probably not have to undress at all but if this place is anything like the last place, it's almost always 99.9% nude people. If she's okay with that, you're in, if not ... Start working your magic on her! ;-)
