Why? Seems the two can be very closely related, depending on the religion. My Christian faith embraces the body in its natural state, going to far as to call it "very good", the same way God Himself did.
Many Christian faiths believe that naturism is getting back to the state of humans while in the garden of eden. That is a lofty goal, indeed. However, most people seem to have difficulty looking at naturism as anything but nudity related directly to sex or sexual desire or lust. Even some people here will rigorously argue that sexual function and nudity cannot be separate. That's a shame. So, for those people, you might be right. However, for the "true nudist", that is not so. Religion and naturism are quite closely related.i have many issues with the use of religion and naturism in the same sentence.
