American Lotus Festival

The Tensaw Delta is abloom with thousands of American Lotus Plants, as well as other beautiful aquatic plants. This spectacular site can only be seen for a few weeks each year. This year we are meeting at Meaher State Park " Gateway to the Delta" to boat up the Tensaw River to Gravine Island, from Thursday june 8th to Sunday the 11. We have reserved lot # 58 as a rally point, but many other campers will be grillin' and chillin' at nearby pull thru s, all part of the festival.

Picture on morning of second day of Lotus Fest. Much coffee must be consumed to off set the effects of eating too many lotus flowers last night at the cook out. Delta was perfect for boating, smooth as glass.
