First trip of the year.
I took my paddle board out for her maiden voyage and decided to check the water level of a feeder creek where I am able to nude paddle. Unfortunately it wasn't high enough to paddle so I hiked it nude.
The trip back downriver (although clothed) was a blast. With wind the wind at my back, occasionally gusting to 20 mph, I was able to use my body as a sail and just coast along on several occasions.
I hadn't really given SUP's a serious thought but a week ago our local fly fishing club had a speaker who talked about fly fishing from one. There were plenty of photos and even a couple of videos proving that this is not only possible but looking like fun. Hard to imagine a paddleboard with ice chest, tackle bag, etc but I saw it with my own eyes.
He and his friends are using Bote inflatables which seem very sturdy and stable.
