First Off Shore Trip of the Season

Well as usual the wind forecast was off by more than just a little. Was said to be one to two foot waves but they kept building all morning till they hit 5 to 6 foot waves. Good news was shortly after they hit the max, the tide went slack and then shifted at the same time the wind died down dropping the seas to less than 2 foot waves for the rest of the day. Well they got 50% of the forecast correct anyway. Went out hunting for Red Grouper and never found any. Did manage to catch on Gag Grouper which was eaten by a Goliath Grouper. Released both one alive and one undersized and crushed. Moving on the day was saved with a great catch of nice 20/22 inch yellow tail snapper with several very fice 22/25 inch mangrove snapper. Pulled the day out with almost four limits of big snapper. Shooting for a thursday this week as it looks like wind conditions will be right if the forecast is correct, LOL.
