Nude in public
rch_nyc said:...That said, I have yet to see a woman go toplessanywhere in NYC.
If you haven't seen any topless women in New York City check out
this website ... https://toplesspulp.com ... It is about a group of
women who are promoting Top Freedom and book reading in the NYC area. ... BTW, they
have posted a lot of pictures to show some of their adventures.
I read somewhere a women took new york to court over men can be topless so why cant women.I read she won.So is this true women can be topless in the state of new york.
What can we come up with that would allow anyone to be nude (fully nude) anywhere in public? I had to bite my tongue the other day when a few of my co-workers were talking about nudity and nudists as they were against the whole idea. I work for a conservative company and need to keep my job, so I do not talk about my nudist-exhibitionist side.I wish there were a way to get all these dogmatic Christian/Puritan laws off the books to allow people to be free of clothing if they prefer. I'm not asking for the entire country to become nudists (but it would be great), but for our country not to be so repressive.Thoughts?
I know.... I'm a dreamer!

It would make me very happy if those of us who wish we could be nude as and when we want to be could live more freely as nudists. I accept that nudity may not be appropriate everywhere but I see no reason why we are expected to cover up in lots of other situations. I've encountered similar attitudes to nudists to that which you give as an example, I've bitten my tongue at times too. However, its not the case with my current work situation. I don't shout out from the rooftops that I'm a nudist but I decided that I saw no reason to hide it and have discussed nudism in similar situations since. I am a nudist, I expect to be one for the rest of my life. I want to be nude when and wherever I can be, it is not something to be ashamed of, I am open about my nudism in real life and online, life is too short to miss out on living naked when it is what I like doing.
Yes, I am a dreamer too, nudity being accepted anywhere and everywhere is not likely to happen with the way the world is. I'm not asking for everyone to become nudists either, just that we are accepted in our natural state more widely.
I've been on a number of World Naked Bike Rides, a small number of nude people can freely mix with a much greater number of clothed onlookers on these rides. There are times when the ride waits for slower riders to catch up, riders often have conversations with the onlookers at these points, I've always felt completely comfortable as a nudist interacting with textiles on these occasions. I accept that we're sometimes treated as a tourist attraction, textiles photographing the riders etc, but it doesn't feel that this is such a big deal compared to how it did on earlier rides. Experiencing clothing optional events like this shows that nudists are accepted as we choose to be by other people, I hope that this becomes normal.

I think we have a very long way to go.
I even have to hide the fact that I take my shoes off when I sit at my desk at work
