RE: Close call

Really pleased to hear another story of why nudity/nudism is such a healthy life style. Yes, when we shed our clothes, we seem to shed some of our worries and stress at the same time . Being nude is very liberating. Happy for you that your wife now understands. Stay well now!

Agree. And more so as time goes by

Yes stress is self induced. I find that most of the crap people want to lay on you is the crap they do not want to deal with. Sailing and being nude has been my outlet. Take care of your self no one else will.

RE: Close call

I had bypass heart surgery in 07. My doctors ruled it on account of stress. My job being a big factor in keeping my blood pressure up. Though I was an at home nudist then but limited to the time I had. I knew the days that were mine, to strip and relax my BP was better. Two years after surgery I retired. I th en was able to embrace my nudist ways more often. Eventually to the public settings of b eaches and resorts. And it helps tha my wife is also retired and able too to enjoy it. Yes i still take BP meds, but it is now easier controlled with less meds.

I had a heart attack on Aug 22 and it was found I needed a stentinserted into one of my arteries. I wasn't put on any hardrestrictions during recovery except for lifting until I see the docat follow up. I was off work for two weeks and the first couple ofdays I kept a tshirt and shorts on. After that, naked all day andnight. I firmly believe it helped with stress and made my recoverytime quicker. I am back to work now and trying to deal with stressbut as soon as I walk through the door at hom the clothes and the stresscome off. Think I am going to let my cardiologist know what I havefound ;)

Stress: "a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or demanding circumstances"

I think you should be looking at how you think and what you think that causes the stress. You say when you get home and the clothes come off so too does the stress, well yes I can see why you have made this connection. However, the home environment and the fact of not being at work is enough to make a person less stressed. Yes, you may feel better not wearing clothes because you are a nudist, but I can guarantee you that by thinking differently about and towards anything in your life will result in a better and healthier lifestyle. Not wearing clothes can only aid skin recovery, not heart, bone or muscle related issues. Nudism can be beneficial as we all know but majority of that is really to do with the psyche.

Yes I know I have to deal with what brings on stress and how to handle it. Those at cardiac Rehab are very helpful with these issues. Just having a heart attack and changing my lifestyle can add more stress. But if you are in a relaxed mood and learn how to deal with the mental stuff from your normal day it is going to have a positive effect.
