Nakedness Helps Keep Me Young in Spirit. . .
I first joined a nudist club in the 1960's--had just turned 21 and
it seemed like a courageous step to take in asserting my
individuality and assertiveness. Things were quite different back
then--who would've suspected that we'd be having Naked Bicycle
riders in the streets of our major cities, naked parades and
other public events by the early 21st century? At times, I think
young people think that we Seniors are dead below the waist--our
sexuality has become history as has our energy and attraction to
eroticism. I know our generation thought that way back in the
1960's (remember: "Don't trust anyone over thirty"?) Yet it
is our generation, with our openness and free spiritedness, that
has paved the way for the nude freedom many enjoy today. As a
nudist, and especially a Senior who happens to be a nudist, I feel
as wild and crazy today as I did back then, only more so. Do others
in the group share my sentiments?
I became a nudist when I was eight years old because I loved to sleep naked--still do!--until my mother caught me and told me to never do that again. I followed her warning most of the time, spending some quality nude time in some pine trees next to our house. Then 1969 I joined a nudist club in Florida and thoroughly enjoyed riding my bicycle in the nude there. (I had a picture of me but my wife saw it and destroyed it, along with a number of other nude pictures of me. Since then, some nudist clubs have opened up here in Georgia USA and I have been a member of one until it became a swingers club. I still sleep naked and try to dothings that younger people do so I can stay young in my mind, even though my body is 75 years old.
