I never even thought about my penis when I went secretly nude swimming as a kid. It was just the fun of being in the river with my dog, with the water swirling around us, that mattered. It was one of the many reasons to become nudist to have my penis hidden away no more as I always felt unconfortable and asked myself why does society have such a problem with nudity. So having the opportunity to let it all out and be around other nudists I do believe it strengthen your self confidance a lot as it does not matter anymore after a while. Yes it does at the beginning as being curious to know but soon after first outings that is no more a problem to consider.
I think that until a man is totally at ease with his cock size he tends to be cautious about letting others see it. There are such big differences between men's flaccid cock sizes that 'growers' such as me, can be intimidated by seeing 'showers' walking around with their cocks slapping about their knees. It is only with the experience of age or the early acceptance that most men are different, whether they be big or small, cut or uncut, they all have their good points. I don't think that most men have seen many other men with an erection, they may have seen porn videos but these aren't really representative of your average man's penis size. It is for this reason that I believe bi and gay men are more at ease about their cock size than the majority of heterosexual men. It seems that most male naturists either shave their pubic hair totally, or trim their pubes and shave around their cock and balls. They say it's for comfort, but really it's because they feel that shaven their cock and balls look better to other people. I'm now quite relaxed about my cock size, whether it's a frozen acorn in the winter or a pendulous 5" in the summer.
Penis size had absolutely no relationship with my becoming a nudist - I stated nudism in 1981 and it was not until I started getting penis size comments on my pictures in 2010 that I became conscious that I was bigger than average.
