Recent trips wine tasting ...

This discussion is for all of us members to post recent winery visits and wine tasting.
Today, we are gonna finally put on clothes and go to the winery where we are club members. Going to have some wine, some lunch and listen to some music by local musicians. It's a really nice day out and we've been naked for 3 days. It's time to get out and do something ... equally as fun! :D

My wife and I recently did a tour of several wineries in the Finger Lakes area of New York state. They have some fine wineries around Seneca Lake and Canandaigua Lake. The area produces a number of wonderful wines. We prefer their Rieslings and Cabernet Franc wines. There are also more to the Finger Lakes than the two I mention, but we were limited on time and could not visit the other lakes and wineries on this trip.
So much wine and so little time,
Dave

You're all making me jealous!! We've only been to one winery (St Augustine) and spent way too money when we left. We did take several cases with us....=). I guess we'll just have to expand our driving circle. In the mean time...I'll try to be patient. John.

We returned home a few days ago from Beautiful British Columbia, Where my spouse and I were able to take in several wineries on Vancouver Island and then several more in the Okanogan Valley (Kelowna BC ) area. We do bottle our own wine but happily brought home 2 cases of various reds(for me Lol) and whites for both of us. It was a wonderful way to enjoy a well deserved get away for 3 weeks. The only sad part was being late in the season up here in Canada, some of the wines were sold out, and they new wines weren't ready. We still brought home some very fine wines to enjoy during a fine meal or in front of the fireplace when the snow is falling outside, this winter.

Nothing like being naked, glass of wine in hand, a fire in the fireplace or wood burning stove and it raining, cold or snowing out! Only experienced that when visiting our friends in the PNW. NO rain or snow here in So Cal! :D
