Ask me for a Picture
There are several on my friend's list and many on the site, who have "Ask me for a Picture" in place of a profile picture. this in spite of the fact that they have pictures available for viewing in their profile. I wonder if everyone realizes that once one has uploaded pictures, one need only go to "Edit Picture" and click on "Profile" to have the picture of their choice appear as their profile picture. Also, this picture may be changed at any time using the same procedure.
Only after you log on. People just going to the home page w/o a profile won't see any photos
Cheri that doesn't seem to be true. At least on my computer, I don't have to be logged in to see the big random photo. Yesterday that photo was YOU! It seems to be someone new everytime you refresh.
When I first come to this site, the only thing I see is the logon or register blocks without photos. Interesting to know it was me. Thanks for letting me know.

As I understand (try it) if you are not logged on ie the server doesn't recognise you, then you are taken to the member page and invited to login or join. Still potentialy embarassing for some and I am sure we will lose more good members than we gain thro this move - sad.

I tried it using another browser and was shown the main page and invitation to join. The current profile picture was shown but not theoptionto go to the profile without joining. Tried again a fewminuteslater and the profile pic had changed to another. It would appear that the main page is shown as it currently appears including the featured profile pic.

more likedown right disturbing.Gonna be hard to make wife feel comfortable with the site if this is news, only 3 days ago. Guess i'll watch this play out awhile before ibring it up (posting pics). hopeful
Cheri - I know what page you are refferring to. If you click you the "Home" tab at the top you will see the page with all the pictures and should be able to do so even when not logged in.
The front when I am not signed in doesn't have a photo most of the time. Not sure if it's me or what.
I am very new to this site, and it took me a little while before learning how to manage the pictures. I was not even sure what "profile picture" meant initially. Perhaps I'm a little slow, but for a newbie, some of the instructions which the pro's assume are self evident really do take a while to sort through.
