hicurious, you say mostly down hill which is good, but don't you come to the end of the trail and have to turn around to go back?

Nice 8 mile hike on Thursday. It was not very strenuous, Just one steep and rocky part on the decent. Saw two campers that waved to us, and four hikers walking in the opposite direction that said, "Good morning, travelinng light today". Friday's hike was cancelled.

Wish I would have joined this group a week ago. I had been at my cabin in Murphy all the month of July and hiked daily nude above our community on a Bear preserve. My dogs loved it running around. They were short hikes each morning (2.5 miles) but one day did hike for almost 7 miles. Ran across a pretty good size black bear that day. Thank goodness my dogs were with me. Just came back to Florida yesterday. I do plan to be up there all of July next year so maybe I can catch you guys on a hike.

Hi there - when you are in NC, let me know - I hike naked 1 to 2 times a week in warm weather, always on federal land, Monday to Thursday, somewhat away from populated areas and tourist spots - love the trails around Robbinsville and Franklin - gorgeous sections of the Appalachian Trail and there are other seldom used trails, which are good for hiking naked as well.
Will do Ed. Would love to hike with others and maybe near some waterfalls. I know there are some in Franklin. Do you/have you ever run into other hikers and are they usually okay with seeing you nude if you do? I've read it's illegal to be nude in North Carolina. Even on Federal land.
