canoes and kayak paddle

anyone else use a kayak paddle on their canoe ?

when im out in my canoe im definately out numbered by kayaks but is it because kayaks are so much easier to paddle? i use a kayak paddle on my canoe - so much easier to move along but the canoes i see on the lake apparently don't agree because their operators are using a single paddle . anyone else using the kayak paddle ?

More nimble single person craft and smaller lighter 2 person craft, most definitely kayak paddle. It can get tiring for one person on larger two person craft, and down right confusing if 2 people use them lol

I use them for solo canoes, never thought of trying them for narrower styles of tandem canoes. Then again I generally only use a canoe when a kayak isn't available. I started my paddling in canoes and have fond memories but really enjoy the more intimate interact with the watery world that a kayak provides.

I use a kayak paddle in my solo, but if I'm in a tandem, it's usually hauling gear and I use a canoe paddle there.
