Pinel public side has services/redtaurant and bathrooms far side is nude beach w no services no chsirs etc.And they permit sheer thongs on the clothing required side?
It's part of French Saint-Martin so the same rules apply as in the French Mediterranean coast - remember swim shorts are forbidden in French municipal pools and you must wear a bathing slip.
by Sunseekerjim:Thx Steve, i hot a few looks and some gighles from some. Had one young woman taking pictures of me . My thong but was smaller than her suit! I liked the white think it went over well.
Sounds fun. Although, going from your photos, I really should shed some kilograms before replicating your escapade! That's as good motivation as anything.
Fun also to have the smallest suit on the beach. Even without going as far as a thong, I've often 'won' the men's competition in my own eyes and have been competitive with all but the best females although with the current trend of thongs everywhere the game has definitely changed. More motivation.
By johngw:In my experience net thongs like the one shown are more see-through in black than in a bright colour.I have a selection of strings in semi-transparent fabric and the black one is definitely more see-through than the white one and the puce one does not show through at all.
Yes, your photos in the black definitely reveal that! For the white, I feel the transparency is revealed more by how the opaque seams stand out more than the details beneath, at least until wet and then fabric becomes invisible. One of my white suits, even though totally opaque when dry, stays quite transparent for some time once wet.

True, but a swim brief is quite different from a sheer thong.

I agree, but I was illustrating the more relaxed attitude of the French to that in English-speaking countries.
I know of one American-owned holiday hotel and waterpark in England where swim briefs are not allowed and swim shorts are required.
