RE:Shorter shorts

Or maybe I should order more 3" ones now and toss the longer ones!
Order them now, ready for when you need them. I've waited to order such brief garments that I fancied and when I did try to order them they were out of stock and now they are not even listed.

Very HOT there John. I would have loved sitting in the restaurant seeing that.

RE:Shorter shorts

The couple of shorts that I wear to the gym are 5 inseams and stretchy with a liner, although I like to hang outside of the liner. I recently posted a pic in my profile of before I went to the gym one morning. I do stay in at the gym, but not sure what it looks like from someone elses point of view.

I never wear lined shorts, but my 5" ones are long enough to wear without underwear anywhere.
Actually, I bought some basic gym equipment during Covid and started working out nude in the basement.
While I thought that I would go back to the gym eventually, I didn't because working out nude in the basement was so comfortable and convenient.
Because of this, I got rid of about half of my gym shorts and sleeveless shirts.

RE:Shorter shorts

I was considering this topic as we had a long weekend here (for a horse race:-) ) along with warming weather. I'm glad someone dug up the topic so I don't have to.

My dress shorts and casual shorts are not super short, so if I want to bear my legs, etc. a little more, it's running shorts.

I have a pair of 3" nylon running shorts bought from the Australian Kmart (since discontinued) and with the lining removed. No stretch in the material but they are fairly loose and open so only the waistband is in any way constricting unless they are a little twisted on my body. I have to take a little care in my movements, particularly crouching, bending over, sitting or alighting from a vehicle but with a little precaution there's usually no risk while if I relax my guard there can be exposure. Happy to wear them around the house, walking and for a quick trip to the shops where I accept that I'll have to hold my keys, phone and wallet in my hand, since the internal pocket can't cope with substantial weight. Even when covered, perhaps a little bobbing could be noticed, but I'll usually be wearing a shirt that half covers them and disguises the movement somewhat. Occasionally an outline may be noticeable.

My pair of 2" running shorts, also bought from the Australian Kmart (and also discontinued) but found in the women's department and were sold unlined. I reckon they're fine with a casual glance, but my wife thinks they're too short, period. The material has a little stretch but they are slightly less loose. They are also a little see-through with light behind so a backlight can reveal what I'm not wearing if I stand with legs akimbo. As with my other shorts, an outline or movement may occasionally be visible beneath the fabric. Losing an inch of leg length compared to my other running shorts greatly increases the risk of exposure for every movement except walking. But they are nicely comfortable and airey.

My Skinzwear A14 shorts are also 2" but seem to be less risky, even with the side splits that effectively go all the way to the waistband. Either it's in the cut cupping things, or I just have less experience as I usually only wear them walking to the beach rather than at other times. They are definitely the most sheer with light behind them, but the print effectively disguises the view of skin through fabric.

Own three pairs of short shorts. Didn't wear either of them this past summer. I feel to overdressed when wearing them
