Hello,

I have a 1986 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce that I bought brand new as a wedding gift for my late wife. I still have the car because it holds so many fond memories for me.

I have had lots of Alfa Romeos and a Lancia Beta Coupe, but currently just have my 1971 Alfa GTA Junior replica based on a 1750GTV Coupe.

Is lancia overrated? What do you think?

Someone in my area has a Lancia Delta Integrale which is a rare sight as that model was never sold here. Once saw a Stratos locally, too, which I suspect would be owned by a friend of theirs.

I was always partial to a Beta HPE, especially wifh the later grille although any model is nice to spot now.

RE:Someone with classic Italian cars

i live in The Netherlands and was raised with french cars (mostly Renault 4). later, when i got my license i started with an old Skoda (Czech brand, now it's part of VW/VAG).

a car which i regretted trading was a Renault 21 Hatchback. it had an 1.7L engine, reman gearbox and was LPG powered. and man...those seats, comfy as fuck!

now i drive an '05 Volvo V70 with 'only' 300k km on the clock, but thinking of trading it for a '08 Saab 9-5 Estate. would look better between my 2 Saabs 9000 (which is designed together with the Alfa 164, Lancia Thema and Fiat Croma, in de early '80s) and my Mercury Capri convertible (mostly sold in the USA, but mine is imported into NL from Florida)
