Chainsaw
A few months ago I posted photo to TN, naked and holding a chainsaw - to get strict warnings in the photo comments about how dangerous chainsawing naked would be; I had to explain that the photo was just a joke. And then... I was at the computer this morning when my husband directed me to the front door, where our WWOOF-program working visitor was waiting for some direction about what project to pick up. I hobbled out (I'm in PT for a knee thing, mimimizing walking) just to point him on his way, not bothering to suit up for work, and we made our way to a head-high avocado stump, that needed to be cut down lower and then given a final, smoothly angled pruning cut. I told him it would be easiest to do the first cut with a chainsaw, then the second clean cut with a sharp Japanese hand saw. Talked myself into a corner on that one, since I knew the visitor had no interest in learning the chainsaw. So to get him started, doing as little walking as possible, I sent him back for the chainsaw and did indeed use it naked. Successfully, no body parts inadvertently removed. But I'm not gonna make a practice of it!
Steve - that was might bold of you! In my family I am known for doing lots of crazy things naked (my daughter is always yelling at me) but chain sawing is not one of them. I always put on full kevlar pants, helmet, facemask and hearing protection.
As an aside, I stopped doing the WOOF program last year because the quality of the interns just got horrible.
Ive used one for years, but never nude until last summer. There is a stream that runs through my property, and downstream there is a fallen tree in the middle with lots of brush backed up. I spend time wading in the water nude, so I took my chainsaw with me and cut a bunch of the brush to help the stream flow better. Why get in the water with clothes or even swim trunks? Makes no sense! Most of the time I use a chainsaw, I am naked.
