Why is it?
Why is it that there are so many members on this site but very little activity. When you look at peoples profiles, they have not been on this site for months, even years. Either they are not true nudists, or they are going somewhere else. What's the deal?
Some one did a full statistical analysis on the membership here a few years ago. I dont know what thread it was in but it was very interesting.
I have invited friends and organizations to join. Some have and promptly left. The women because they were bombarded with friend request as well as being asked to do sexual acts or meet IRL. They did not even get a chance to voice their opinions on forums or in groups because they were made to feel uncomfortable and they were criticized if they rejected the advance of some random man.
Men have found that there is nothing for them here if they cant make friends with True Nudist. Finding mostly fake accounts and groups that are dead or no participation from the members.
The organization because they checked it out and found that they dont want to be associated with this site.
I have stayed around because I have met some True Nudist and have found some of the discussions interesting until they go off the rails but you have to over look the bad to see the good.
We may have seen an uptick in membership during covid and the massive lockdowns that many people endured, and now people are back out there socialising (nude or not) rather than sitting behind their desk and computer.
Putting that aside there is also a natural cycle that social media and community portal transit through. This even without an external stimulus from something such as covid. By and large a new tranche of folks will find this site and in seeing it for their first time will take the normal human approach to indulging in their 'something new and shiny' ...
It saddens me that some people continue to over-sexualize nudism and take advantage of those who choose this lifestyle earnestly.
If you look at some of the recent posts you may see that there is less and less faking and more and more explicit sexual stuff being shared. It is overwhelming and drowning out the presence of genuine nudists and naturists. Seems there is no end in sight and soon no reversal will be possible.
There are countless reasons why folks come here; some participate, some observe, some wonder and some leave. Its a natural cycle of a *new shiny object* as mentioned, a getting to know the activity and then boredom begins. About 10 years ago upon my first visit, the chat room was moving so fast, you almost couldnt keep up with the conversation. I dont ever recall viewing a fuss much less someone being evicted. But as membership & viewers increased, the less-than-purists became more commonplace and unfortunately, more tolerated under the *diversity* mantel. The nefarious *nudists* have since multiplied and the more idealist nudists that originally populated the site are trickling away. As for posting & participating, much more than a simple *it was nude fun in the sun* response takes a little bit of both thought & work. Most folks will continue to post for a time but will become disillusioned after many posts and minimal or zero responses. Theres not enough reward / reinforcement to continue the activity and classic extinction occurs. Maybe that wasnt too much of a bore to read.

"True Nudist" is subjective AF. Some of y'all get the name of this website and run with it just to be gatekeepery and problematic. It gives me "Truth Social" vibes from most of you.
That said, this website is all but abandoned. It's maintained enough to A. hopefully get more subscriptions, and B. so that the lifetimer subs don't legally go after them. How do you do that? You don't establish any inactivity purging so that your website can look a lot more alive than what it actually is. I'm actually surprised they have a means of displaying when someone was last active, but I wonder if there are any devs even still here in general.
The website does the bare minimum to get people connected, and like most circles, people go full toxic with it without moderation. Not much can be done, nor will be done, short of the website shutting down entirely in the future.
