Thats the point, if you visit a news website, youll never see a story about a framed arse in a jock strap.
But here, misguided people come to see and revel in that sort of thing.

The drift away from anything that can be reasonably called naturism and towards body parts is what prompts questions like this posted on the Haulover Beach Reddit about people wearing butt plugs at the beach. I am sure that is of interesting to some but it has nothing to do with the intended purpose of clothing optional beaches. As long as we turn a blind eye to this festishization of naturism and nudism it allows those who simply want to pursue the sexual aspect of nudity and want validation from association with naturism.
Its how the adult film industry took advantage of hard fought freedoms gained by nudist in the 50s & 60s and how the online porn industry has captured the use of the term nudist online.
Then let's drift back. Jock straps without a cup are rather dumb. The same effect can be had with jockey shorts, and some of us feel those are unnecessary too. Since we all love to be nude, and we all must wear something at some time or other, what can we say other than being nude feels better than wearing anything?

I have come feel that any clothing that isn't designed to be seen in public is unnecessary.

I couldnt go to work in winter without thermal socks. Or the layers under my jacket. But Im guessing you just like not wearing underpants so justify it by saying all unseen clothing is unnecessary.

Should have said "... unless required for warmth."
I was thinking of underwear, undershirts and sleepwear when I said it.
