For the last 35 yers we have been going too the National Sea Shore . When you go in proceed down the beach too the 4+4 part. Down about 17 mi is where we go however we have been nude all over ,both sides of the Mansfield cut . It isNOT LEGAL but you would have too be a fool too get caught. You can see down and up the beach for miles and when someone is coming get in the water or cover up . Even on weekends you sometimes go for 2-3 hrs with out seeing anyone. The longest is a time during the week that we were down there with another couple and it was 5 i/2 hrs ! Have fun !!
actually if it is Nationally run and National property hen there is no law against it. the nation does not have laws against nudity. It is the same with national parks - as long as you are not being lewd - you can be naked anywhere in them. That information is from a National Park Ranger who is a nudist. :-) Said if he saw me hiking nude he would probably say hello and walk with me...
WAIT! You are telling me that it is Not Against The Law to be nude in National Parks because there isn't a National/Federal law prohibiting nudity as long as the place is run/taken care of/expenses paid for by the government? The rule being (which I would hope we all abide by) is not being lewd. Am I understanding correctly? If so, I have been missing out on a lot of nude experiences because of my belief in a law that doesn't exist. Let the nude-times role! Yee-Haw!!

I believe (and I'm not a lawyer, so take that into account :-) that in the absence of federal law, the rangers can and do enforce the state laws. Theoretically, in Texas, that means non-lewd nudity is OK if you're careful not to do it in front of people who could be offended, but in practice you'll almost always get an indecent exposure or disorderly conduct charge which you're welcome to contest in court. The nice rangers/cops will give you a warning to cover up the first time they see you, but if somebody else complains they'll almost certainly arrest you.
I would like to keep this thread going and update it regularly. The idea here, is as a reference. Texas is a big state and it might be helpful to have a thread that tells what is going on at any particular beach or resort. I'll do Riverside Ranch as an example.
I would like to open a place in the Texas Panhandle between Amarillo and Lubbock. I wonder how many people would support it. It would start as an unimproved campground at first and/or a bed and breakfast.
