RE: Streak the Cove

I can't make it this year, I ran it a couple of years ago and had a great time, although my race time was not so good. My advice - run it for fun and enjoy the experience. My wife and I spent the day there (included in the race fee), had something to eat and a few beers. A great way to spend a warm Florida day. Be prepared to sweat!

I ran it last year and had a great time. Just pace your self and don't treat it as a race. The SUP race the next day was impressive!

Since we are only 30 min from Cypress there is a good chance that we will be there. We don't participate in the 5k but we go whenever the weather is nice and we have the time.

I ran it last year and loved it, however, this year my planning was not so good and will be coming back from Vacation in Bosnia and Montenegro that afternoon, so will miss it. You can bet I will be there next year. I don't want to miss it!!!

That sounds fun. My wife has agreed to go to nude Appaloosa next year which is a huge step for her. She cannot run because of TKR but she has walked a 5 k before.

Are there other walkers and what is the ground you run on.

I've never run the 5k at the Cove, but I have run one at Sunny Rest in PA. There were walkers at that one, so I don't see why there wouldn't be walkers at the Cove event. I have run on my own while at the Cove, and the entire resort has paved roads and is very flat. It should be a great course for a 5k. If we didn't have to fly down from Boston and didn't already go every year in October for Nudeapalooza, I would run in the 5k at the Cove for sure.
