Hippy Hollow, Texas
Has anyone ever visited Hippie Hollow near Austin, Texas? The park looks beautiful, but the shoreline looks rocky, and I don't see a beach of any size. What is your impression of the place, and how are temperatures there in the fall and winter?
Please friend me and follow the Texas Naturists groups here and on Facebook. I look forward to your feedback.
Thanks!
Howdy from Austin!
When we use the term 'beach' it is very loosely used as the shore is quite rocky. Luckily this year we have had some amazing rains falling in the right areas and it brought the lake up to its average height (It was over 40 feet below for a few years). You darn near needed climbing gear to get to the water!
There is a small section that is less rocky than the rest. But water shoes or sandals will help traverse this and most areas.
The temps in the winter get a bit chilly. Through late fall is pleasant. The cost to get in is $15 per car, but if one has a boat you can float up to it for free.
Stay Naked!

Heck, I'd probably need someone to carry me. I would enjoy hanging out there, but I have difficulty walking, so I'm not sure I can handle the rocks. Wait, I know....a horse!

Why not do like kijad mentioned and use a boat rather than a horse? Boats are easier to get on and off, and don't need to be fed when not used. Not to mention, you don't have to pay the entrance fee.
Just know that the Creeper Factor is alive and well at Hippie Hollow. Caught two guys taking pictures of couples there. And 4 other guys just staring at women from less then 10 feet away. The place needs to police its self and get ride of these guys.
Cover up then walk up to these creeps and take their pictures and tell them that you're going to post them on every web site possible with proper captions. If they protest, remind them that you have the right to take pictures of anyone you want in a public place.
