About to visit first nudist resort

This summer I am going to be close by to the Carolina Foothills Resort. I am 22 which is fairly young and I am not sure how I will fit in. I will probably end up doing my own thing while I am there. I am a little nervous but I am sure that will go away within minutes of being there. Any thing I should know before going other than the basic rules?

I would not worry about your age unless your expecting to meet a lot of others that age. I don't believe any one will care about your age, only how you behave. Be polite and friendly and you will have no issues. Since most there will proably be couples, if you want to start a conversation, start it with the man, not trying to sound sexist here, but you don't want to give the impression your there only to meet ladies. It would be a good idea to call ahead to the resort, ask a few questions. Do they have a singles policy, if so what is it. What type of activities do they have there? Out here in the west most resorts have water volley ball and tennis. Ask if they havea snack bar, should you bring your own? Could you bring your own if you wanted? You will find most resort owners very willing to give you answers to your questions, also, some may have discounts for first time members. If you haven't already you may want to consider joining AANR, not only does it support nudism, you will gain discounts at most resorts. Also it lets resort owners know your serious about nudism and not just a lookie lou. Well good luck, I'm sure you will have a great time.

I would advise against going to that park. It's not a resort, it is a park. There is not full food service. It even has an update on the AANR message boards that is less than complimentary such as the run-down areas. The activity is less than g-rated and there are no longer youngsters there.
An alternative would be visiting Serendipity in Cleveland, GA - about 2 hrs. from the SC upstate.

What do you mean by the activity is less than G-rated? I know its not really a resort but I would like to learn more about what I am getting myself into and that doesn't seem to good....

Less than g-rated (think of movie ratings). There has been "adult" activity in the hot tub. The president of the club can't keep his hands off of other men's wives as well.
This is a report on the AANR website https://www.aanr.com/nudist-forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=2219:

We looked in the aanr website for the club that was closest to char,nc.
your site gave us carolina foothills resort in sc
We called at 3:30 pm to tell them we may be there after 5 pm but got a no answer.when we got there we called on the gate phone for about 30 mins, again no answer.we waited 20 mins more and gail called us to let us know her phone system was out (why could'nt she have called us before we ever got there. And save us the 40 min wait.
This was only the start of what was to be a bad few days there. We got checked in by gail, and it seams as we gave her our $$$ she was gone. She didn't even Show us to the rv we had rented.she just pointed to it and droveaway.
When we got in it, we discovered the sheets had not been changed in some time (all stained)needless to say we were very nervous that night as we slept on top of everything.using our beach towels as blankets. later that night we went to the (dirty pool) globs of dirt at the entrance. The hot tub was not much better.my wife would not even go in it.(i did)
About 15 mins after I got in, a couple that are members there came in.By there speach both had been drinking.while in the hot tub he lit up a cigarette(,How discusting).. Why would a club allow people to smoke in the hot tub ?
I was under the understanding that all aanr clubs were inspected by aanr is this true ? How is such a dumpy club allowed to run with aanr approval ?
The grounds were not kept up around the rental rv or roads.maybe it was too early in the season.
On our way home I received a call from Gail looking for 2 towels she could not find in the rental after we left.we explained to her that we hadbrought our own on the trip,as all nudist travelers do.(we saw in their ad that they did not supply towels.) we didn't hear back from them again.
not a club I would go to again or recomend to any other aanr member.

RE: About to visit first nudist resort

I went to Carolina Foothills 2 weeks ago for a day trip. It was my first visit to a nudist 'resort'/park, etc. I had heard mixed reviews, but it seemed to be the closest to me (1 hr 30 mins). It is very "rustic". Definitely an RV park. I guess it's early in the season, as not many people were there, but the staff and guests who were there were very nice. There were a couple of couples and a few people visiting the pool. I stayed by the pool to soak in the sun and even dunked myself in the cold water! They are renovating the showers in the bathrooms and it will look great. Nobody seemed out of line, however.....one clothed man was leering in my direction as I went for a dip in the pool. It didn't make me feel uncomfortable, but it was obvious. After I got out and back to my lounge chair to dry off, he left. It's not what I would imagine as a resort, but it is the mountains in SC. If you're looking to getaway for a day, it may be an option. I would prefer a beach, but in NC, that's not really an option, at least legally. For now, I'm considering a 2 day trip to some place a little farther.Good Luck!

Hey! Sorry for the late reply. I have been very busy. Thank you for your input. I am still pretty set on going here I think. Especially since you went there for your first time as well and enjoyed it. It is about the same distance from where I am too. I just wanna try it out for the day just to see what it is like before I make any big trip plans.
I have a few more questions, were there any lakes or anything you could swim in there besides the pool? Im not a huge pool person. Also, what day did you go on and how crowded was it? I just wanna have an idea of what to expect.

RE: About to visit first nudist resort

Hi Sly. Oddly enough I went there yesterday (Saturday) for another day visit. It was a sunny day and I was craving some nude time. CFR is the closest to me and logistically I can't make longer trips happen right now. There were a lot more people there this time, mainly couples and even a child. I think I was the only single woman thereand there were a couple of single guys there. As a single woman, I knew what I was walking intoand I have to say that the a couple of the male members did look out for me by checking in when a single guy was trying to make his move. I had a great time hanging out by the pool and talking with some pretty nice people. I'm a pool kind of person, so I can't give you any insight regarding pond swimming there. There were a lot of smokers and this is a problem for me and my allergies. There didn't seem to be a designated smoking area, as everyone smoked wherever they sat. They're big on pool volleyball and cornhole. I say give it a try.
